GRADUATION & TOOLKITS DISTRIBUTION for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I & NC II and Training Induction for Light Vehicle Driving NC II

The Graduation and Toolkits Distribution for the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I & NC II scholars was successfully conducted on March 24, 2026, at the Womens Building for Training and Development, Municipality of Malimono, Surigao del Norte. The activity was organized through the collaborative efforts of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Local Government Unit of Malimono, Public Employment Service Office Malimono (PESO Malimono), and the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte.

The program commenced at 8:00 AM with an invocation, followed by the singing of the national anthem and welcome remarks from distinguished guests. Representatives from TESDA and the local government highlighted the importance of technical-vocational education in enhancing employment opportunities and strengthening local workforce development.

A total of twenty-four (24) scholars successfully completed the SMAW NC I & NC II training under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). These graduates were formally recognized during the ceremony and commended for their dedication and perseverance in acquiring welding skills aligned with industry standards.

Certificates of completion were awarded to the graduates, signifying their competency and readiness for employment. In addition, toolkits were distributed to each graduate to support their transition into the workforce and enable them to practice their trade effectively.

Key officials, including local leaders and TESDA representatives, expressed their support and encouragement to the graduates. They emphasized that the acquired skills would not only provide livelihood opportunities but also contribute to community development.

The event concluded with messages of gratitude, a photo opportunity, and closing remarks reinforcing the commitment of partner agencies to continue empowering individuals through skills training programs.

Consequently, following the graduation ceremony, the Training Induction Program for Light Vehicle Driving NC II was conducted. This initiative aimed to equip participants with technical skills, expanding their opportunities for employment and livelihood.
